Official Organizations

Over the years there have been a number of clubs and registries that monitor and regulate the Tamaskan breed. At this point in time there are technically four active organizations that, while completely independent of each other, all have dogs that are base of the same pedigree and foundations. They each maintain their own standard, health testing requirements, and breeders, but many breeders and dogs are registered with multiple organizations.

If you are looking for a Tamaskan this is the list of organizations where you will find actual Tamaskans. Dogs bred by other organizations likely were not founded with these clubs and do not have legitimate Tamaskan foundations. The exception is the UK TDR (which is still maintained by the breed founder). They chose to break from the breed and works with no other organizations and their dogs are not eligible for more programs, events, or other support as they do not conform to any of the join standards. *Please also note that a dog that is not registered is not considered a Tamaskan by any club. Having the same or a similar DNA breed composition does not mean a dog is a Tamaskan. Only registration papers can authenticate a dog as a Tamaskan, even if it is born of two Tamaskan parents as we still have open stud books and are such a young breed.

The following clubs have not been active, but have dogs that are still registered and they maintain their websites. They will remain on this list until such a time that they disband or have remained inactive for a more significant period of time.
