Trick Dog Champion
Show & Sports
I am so proud of my girl, Clara, but I am also proud of her half brother, Raiden, and his wonderful handler Jaisie. His handler and I have been friends for some time now and we bring out the best in each other. We have helped each other over the years, bonded over training these wonderful dogs, working two of the only Tamaskan Service dogs, and just encourage each other to work with our dogs and build our bond with them and our skills as handlers and trainers.
We both wanted to complete the Trick Dog Champion (TDCH) title with our Tams, but really didn't feel any pressure to do so..... so we invented some. In a race to the finish. So in the same weekend we both submitted to DMWYD! for our respective hopeful TDCH titles.
Raiden and Jaisie got their submission in a few days before us, but we got ours in by Sunday night.
We both filmed everything specifically for Trick Dog Champion (TDCH) without reusing past footage or clips (part of our little competition).
Technically they were both awarded TDCH on March 20th but that said Raiden totally earned it first and we are so proud of him. Clara just has to settle for second/first female to get it but I have never been happier or more pleased to loose a race because all four of us worked so hard and did so much to accomplish this title. To have seen Jaisie and Raiden grow so much since the first time she reached out to me, since she welcomed home Rai, and since we really became close friends a few years ago I love seeing others thrive and grow with our breed. To me that is really what it is all about and I love that we could make some fun trick dog titles could be a part of that journey for us.
